First saw the Focus RS at the Motorshow back in 2001. Having owned just about every fast Ford from a MK1 RS Mexico to the last of the Cosworths, I made my mind up in 10 seconds flat that I had to have this car. Then came the long 18 month wait for the car to be delivered. Number 0540 was eventually delivered in January 2003.
As this was my first brand new RS I vowed to my better half that this one would stay standard and wouldnt be touched......Oh well.

During the run up to getting the car I looked at a few things to add to the car, including alloy tax disc holders with the FRS logo and a Focus RS keyring. Along with a couple of other Focus RS owners waiting for their cars we created FocusRS.net, a website and forum dedicated to the Focus RS.

Various other bits and pieces were added and became increasingly popular amongst owners. What started off as a bit of a hobby, creating some add-ons to this superb car quickly became much much more.

In September last year we moved from the South Coast to the Midlands and I decided to try and make a go of this 'hobby' as a full time job.........Torquesteer.co.uk was finally born. A full online shop was created along with secure online credit card payments. I have now sent Focus RS items all over the world including Japan and the island of Guadaloupe, where there is 3 owners!
Im working 16 hours a day but loving every minute of it. Its also good to meet and speak to so many RS enthusiasts around the world. Fingers crossed, Torquesteer will go from strength to strength and with new RS's in the pipeline things are looking good.
