be nice to keep them all

Welcome to rs-ford your daily dose of your favourite
cars, as you can see the site has had a long overdue refresh the design
it's had loads of stuff added every month but hasn't had a complete
update since it's launch in 2002. There are loads of new features
on the way, a revised readers cars section too.

sporting our window vinyls.
The project car is now complete - well nearly, it's
ready for the road and the shows it will never be finished as we will
always be improving it. We are going to take it out to the Manchester
RSOC meeting, click here for details.

RSOC
Group Meet Manchester

The latest ford to sport the ST badge the new Fiesta
ST, the powerhouse is the 150-PS, 2.0-litre Duratec ST engine and performance
chassis. Design elements include new front and rear bumpers, new side
and rocker mouldings and colour-keyed details and massive 17-inch alloy
wheels.

So
Ford did it, re-invented a legend from their glory days they built the
new GT40, but this one is no dinosaur though it's capable of destroying
the reputation of most supercars available today with 500bhp at it's disposal.

Yes complete!!! at last ... the series one is back on the road,
well only if it's dry. two and a half years
of lost evenings and weekends later the series one is reborn,
short road test video below (full movie to follow if it ever stops raining)

Yes folks we decided we wanted to grow our family of fast
fords in 2005, the shortlist was drawn and we looked at the
pros and cons of owning each car in turn. We had at the top
of the list the focus rs also the escort cosworth. Yes I know
these are legends and we love them both but we have always
had a soft spot for the puma, and when we decided to upgrade
the 1.7 we decided to go for the extremely rare Ford Racing
Puma. How rare I hear you say? well tickford only made 500,
23 were press and development cars, some have gone abroad
and some have been wrapped around trees, the current estimate
is 450. So pretty rare then and you feel like you're in something
a bit different too from the Alcantara sparco seats to the
unique numbered manifold. Also it's just that little bit easier
to live with.
The car above is the one we eventually decided on, it was
definitely the cleanest example we had seen, from the immaculate
bodywork ( with armourguard fitted ) to the as new interior.
Also only had 25k on the clock with FSH.
We have not been disappointed with the car in fact its better
than we had anticipated, and rates up there with the best
cornering cars I have ever driven. This is due to its wide
track, eibach coil springs, anti-roll bars and 17" Alloys
but the trade off is the ride is firm to say the least.
Also it excels where some fords fail, the brakes are awesome
295 mm discs with Alcon four pots and 270 discs on the back.
These look great through the alloy spokes.
The Tickford influence is pretty extensive
with wide arches and full retrim the car looks very different
from the standard puma. Oh and in typical Ford style these
are only available in ford racing blue. (dark blue metallic
with a purple flip to it).
They also managed to get 155 bhp from the engine, which if
I am honest is not enough as I am sure the car would easily
put down 200 bhp. ( work for the future then ). But for now
we are very happy with it and expect to see it at a few shows
this summer along with the series one.
Expect to see more of this car - will be adding it as a feature
car shortly.

Pumaspeed
Boss -AKA Tony - has created this beast, based around
the doomed Fiesta RS which ford deemed too much of a risk
in an unstable climate (For the record I think it was
one of Ford's worst decisions in recent years). I was
pestering the local dealer to get on the waiting list
before it was scrapped. Tony's car is based around the
more outrageous World Rally Car body with wider arches
than the Fiesta RS Concept, which for me makes it even
more aggressive and finished in Imperial blue with the
distinctive side stripes.
This has to be the most exciting news of 2005. Click
