Slow progress - we always seem to be waiting on parts to allow us to continue, from ford or third party suppliers. So we find ourselves moving onto other parts of the restoration until we can continue. There was a big outlay in the form on cosworth rear disk conversion which will be fitted in issue 13 due to kit being flawed - the bolts foul the hub and need to be recessed.

One of the parts we have been waiting
for - cosworth rear disk conversion kit
more on that shortly.

Brake servo back in and connected with
a nice coat of 2 pac - superb finish!

Steering rack back in about 60% of the
under bonnet parts so far are new.

The release brackets are still available
from ford - for how long I don't know!

Lovely new door seals still available but
most of the window rubbers deleted.
Luckly we had a few spares which were
good enough.

The last of the lights now we have every item lights, lenses, indicators are all new and original - this will help make the car look like it did 17 years ago .... but better!

Some of the parts we have splashed out on this month ...

Charge carrier

This wasn't new but was worth the extra work, we rubbed down by hand around all the detail to a smooth finish took approximately 10 hrs to get the finish we wanted then was sent to be chromed the finish is amazing and still looks original with all the original detail intact.

New chromed cam cover - it's not red thats just the lighting - just the throttle body and induction chamber and induction manifold to go!

The kit was good but needed a little restoration so we used 3M liquid rubber to fill the holes and repair the damage due to age and general wear then re-drilled all the rivit holes as new while fitted to the original with masking tape on the bodywork to protect the finish.

The kit looks good now this is the front arch we will fit this towards the end of the restoration as we dont want to damage it. The kit including the rear spolier are now bubble wrapped and in storage - hopefully for not to long.

We need a sunroof and mechanism before we go to much further as we cannot put in the roof lining until the sunroof is in neither can we put in the windscreen either.
