The picture above shows where we are at, but it doesn't show
the sweat and blood which went into getting to this stage. There
is so much work involved to restore a car, think twice before
starting something like this.
We have started restoring parts when we are not working on the
shell. These parts are then bagged sealed and stored out of
the way. Look like new ... try cleaning that while its still
attached to the car. |

We
dropped the engine at last this will be in a slightly different
spec and condition before it goes back in.

The gear box is going to be sand blasted and painted to give it
that as new look. Another job for another time ... too busy with
the shell at the moment. |

The inner wings were a bit worse for wear around the top where the
hinges and the outer wing joined ... so we go new ones. They are cheap
but a big job to fit. Also you can see we took the front panel and
subframe off and acquired new ford parts for those too.

Above no its not what you think as we replaced the inner wings we
had to ensure it was all still true. So every other day we put into
position our new panels and take a tape measure to it. |

When we finished the front end we started on the chassis taking out
the dead metal way passed any rot and putting in the replacement panel.
You can see the struts on the doors to maintain structural proportions
while the inner and outer sills were off to give access to the floor
pan. As usual we have new parts to replace all those which come off.

Above new floorpan panels, the one on the left is a new outer sill.
Below is an inner wing.
